Worldwide, nearly 31 million children have been forcibly displaced. This number includes some 13 million child refugees, approximately 936 thousand asylum-seeking children and an estimated 17 million children displaced within their own countries by violence and conflict.
Give the Children is on a mission to help save lives of children and their families.

Poverty.

When a family cannot buy food, children do not eat; they go to bed hungry on an empty stomach.
For most families in extreme need, it is not a lack of motivation or desire that keeps them below the poverty line. It’s a lack of opportunity.
Stories from the countries where we are fighting hunger are filled with mothers who care for their children, stretch their food supply to the limit and walk miles for clean water. And they are filled with children who — despite the hard life they have been born into —are sent into the streets to beg for money to feed – they smile proudly when they are able to get something to eat from the little they get.

The population of homeless kids begging on the streets is very significant in Africa and even the developing world at large.  Most of these children are denied access to quality health care,  Education, Food, Clothing and other basic necessities of life. These often leave them in a sad state especially when they see their contemporaries doing well. They don’t deserve to be sad…your donations make a change in their life.

Hunger.

Hunger drains the life out of Children and we can’t standby and do nothing.
We have chosen to fight for children. ‘Poverty and unemployment mean families cannot afford enough food. Boys and girls go to bed hungry every night with no hope of end in sight. Together, we can reach children in need.
It takes the power of many to end childhood hunger: donors who believe in the cause, innovative solutions, expertise, and communities to work together for change.
Hunger steals the childhoods of millions of boys and girls around the world each year.
In developing countries, hunger, diseases and poverty try to rob kids of their innocent childhood. Together with our donors, we can save lives by partnering with families in poor communities to build a better tomorrow.
